SOL’s After-School Enrichment Activities are designed to extend children’s learning beyond the academic day while honoring their interests, developmental stage, and joy in discovery. Offered on a seasonal basis, these optional programs enrich children’s experience through hands-on exploration, creative expression, movement, and skill-building in a relaxed, supportive setting.
Enrichment offerings are thoughtfully selected to be age-appropriate for children ages 3–6, with priority given to currently enrolled SOL students. Programs are offered in 8–12 week sessions throughout the year (Fall/Winter, Winter/Spring, and Summer), allowing children to explore new interests without long-term commitment. Enrollment is optional and offered for an additional fee.
Seasonal offerings may include activities such as chess, sewing, coding, baking, art, football, ballet and creative movement, flamenco, yoga, and other enriching experiences. Each program is designed to nurture confidence, curiosity, coordination, and problem-solving while allowing children to engage in learning that feels joyful and meaningful.
Classes are led either by SOL faculty or by qualified outside providers who bring expertise and care to their work with young children. Whether developing strategic thinking through chess, exploring creativity through art and movement, or building practical skills through cooking or sewing, children are encouraged to explore new possibilities in a supportive environment.
Registration for after-school enrichment programs opens prior to the start of each season. Current families may access details and enrollment information through the Parent Portal.
At SOL, enrichment is not about acceleration, but about broadening experience—supporting children as they discover interests, develop new skills, and engage with learning in ways that inspire confidence and joy.
